What is EMERGENCY SELF CARE?

In November of 2021, Jessie Rigby, an artist based in the Macedon Ranges, lost a dear friend.

Stacey had been an Emergency Nurse at Sunshine Hospital. After 15 years the pressure became too much to bare and Stacey chose to end her life.

After saying goodbye at a deeply emotional funeral service, Jessie was inspired to create an artwork in Stacey's memory.

We knew that the funds generated from the sale of the artwork should go to showing our heart-felt gratitude to Victorian frontline healthcare workers.

These legends have always had one of the most high-pressure jobs on the planet, and over the last few years that pressure has increased beyond belief and does not seem to show any signs of easing up.

We want to make it easier to take some time out for a massage. To put their feet up with a decadent cuppa. To put a meal on their table after another killer night shift. To nourish their skin, ravaged by years of constant PPE use.

We have now accumulated artworks from our generous Melbourne Artist community, all of which are for sale.

All funds raised will be used to create huge hampers of self-care items which will be delivered to emergency departments across the state, for Frontline Emergency workers to help themselves to some well deserved treats.

The hampers will include Endota Spa treatment vouchers and products, iPantry gift packs, meal vouchers from The Dinner Ladies, Salus body products, H&Co candles and so much more.

By purchasing an artwork, you are making our Emergency Self Care initiative a reality.
